Global tech care leader Asurion is set to make a major investment in Cebu’s growing business landscape with the opening of a new tech support center at the Faustina Center in Bonifacio District. The expansion is expected to generate around 2,000 new careers over the next two years, reinforcing Cebu’s reputation as a hub for innovation, talent, and opportunity.
A Growing Footprint in the Philippines
Asurion already employs more than 7,000 people across five facilities in the country, including customer service centers in Santa Rosa, Iloilo, and Clark; a remanufacturing site in Calamba City; and a global technology and shared services hub in Bonifacio Global City. The Cebu site will mark a significant milestone, with the company set to occupy five floors of the 14-story Faustina Center.
“Cebu City is a natural fit for our newest Philippines facility,” said Todd Chretien, Asurion’s SVP of Customer Solutions. “The Bonifacio District offers a thriving business environment, and we’re excited to build a team that will bring our tech care promise to life.”
Opportunities Beyond Tech Support
While the new hub will focus on customer care and technical support, Asurion is also opening roles in human resources, IT, operations, training, digital marketing, and workplace solutions. Hiring and onboarding will begin in November, with employees expected to move into the new facility by early 2026.
Adam Hachey, Senior Director of Care Operations, emphasized the company’s people-first approach, “This site isn’t just about creating jobs. It’s about creating careers and making a lasting, positive impact in the community. Our people bring energy, ownership, and pride to everything they do, and Cebu is the perfect place to grow that culture.”
A Great Place to Work
Asurion has been recognized as a Great Place to Work for four consecutive years and was recently inducted into the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Hall of Fame for its excellence as an employer. Employees enjoy a wide range of benefits, including: full-time employment with competitive pay, HMO coverage starting on day one, retirement program and generous leave policies, daily free meals and transportation allowances, and work-life balance initiatives and career growth opportunities.
For many, these benefits translate into life-changing opportunities. “This year has been an awesome year for me so far, and I can’t wait for what I can accomplish in the years to come,” shared Kimberly Kim, a Customer Support Expert at Asurion’s Clark site.
Strengthening Cebu’s Role in Tech and Business
With nearly 270 million customers worldwide and millions of support interactions each year, Asurion’s expansion reflects the growing importance of accessible tech care in today’s digital-first world. For Cebu, the move signals not just economic growth, but also the chance to further cement its role as a regional hub for business, culture, and innovation.
Asurion’s Cebu hub is poised to open a new chapter for both the company and the community one that blends global expertise with local talent, creating opportunities that will resonate far beyond the walls of the Faustina Center.
