The Mactan Newtown invites everyone to savor the golden glow of Cebu’s mango season with the launch of Cebu Mangoes Festival 2026: A Sweet Journey, which opened on May 22 at the Mactan Expo Center.
In partnership with the Department of Tourism and the Lapu-Lapu City government, the festival celebrates Cebu’s beloved mangoes through a vibrant mix of cultural showcases, culinary artistry, and community-centered events. At its centerpiece: a towering 10-ft Mango Cake that sets the stage for a week of festivities.
Festival Highlights
– The Great Mango Harvest (May 24): Inspired by tradition, guests can experience the joy of picking fresh mangoes and bringing them home.
– Culinary Showdown (May 23): Cebu’s young culinary talents compete with mango-inspired creations, guided by guest chefs Chef Pao Aviso and Chef Coke Semblante.
– Cultural & Community Events: From the Pawty Run and Mangoes Festival Queen to Spicy Dried Mango Eating Battles and Mango Tree Planting, the celebration blends fun with sustainability.
– Cebu Mangoes Food Festival (May 11–31): A feast of mango-inspired dishes, desserts, and beverages across participating establishments.

Beyond food and entertainment, Cebu Mangoes Festival 2026 is a tribute to abundance, unity, and sustainability. Through tree planting and community-driven activities, it nurtures both heritage and future traditions.
